Bel Air Modern
Our clients purchased this 1960 modern home at the top of Bel Air from its original owners who had not altered the house in half a century. We added a new wing with a family room, pool bathroom, and gym, enlarged the kitchen opening it up to the new spaces, and created more privacy for the bedroom wing. Much larger windows and sliding doors, custom built-in Douglas Fir, flood the house with light, open it up to the stunning views, and almost eliminate the separation from indoor to outdoor. A palette of natural woods, American Cherry, Red Oak, Hickory, grey limestone, and white create a calm oasis for the new owners, an energetic entertainment executive, his wife, and his young son.
